An easy picture of Ohms Law.

*****W*****Pyramid one.
***A***V***

*****V*****Pyramid two.
***I***R***

To remember Ohms Law all you need is two pyramids!

The first pyramid is where W = Watts A = Amps and V = Voltage.

So why the pyramid? Well if you look at the position of the letters you can see that if you want to know the current (amperage) all you have to do is cover the letter A and then carry out the simple sum that is left.

i.e. W divide by V = A.

If you wanted to know the Wattage of a circuit then just cover the W and hey presto you are left with A times V = Watts.

The second pyramid is needed in order to be able to work out R (resistance) and I (inductance). The calculations are made in exactly the same way as for pyramid one.

There you are, bet you never thought Ohms Law could be so much fun! Very Happy
