Ok, I am going to show how behind the times I am and ask a question that probably should have been asked back in 1999 or something but, oh well, I'm a little behind....

Does anybody have satellite radio and, if so, is it worth the money that you pay for it?
The idea of it sounds good to me but I didn't know if it was really worth it. Do you really utilize all those stations? Or do you find that you are just wasting a lot of money on stuff you never listen to?

I'm not a big fan because I like the radio that I get for free... the big push came from Howard Stern, who I dislike anyway. Why should I pay for his vulgarities?

Good point. I am not at all interested in paying for something that I don't want to use. I sort of feel like the free radio that I already get is nearly enough. What it lacks, I make up for in cd's. But then again, I have never tried satellite radio.

I'd only consider it if I were travelling a LOT and could justfiy the cost for listening to a lot of shows... considering most peoople only listen to radio a few hours a day, max, it's not really worth it if you think about it.

I thought about signing up, but this value doesn't justify the cost, for me, either.

exactly - and I don't want to pay for a single show or personality, 'cause then they'll move on or the show be swtiched and I"ll still be out the cash and have nothing to listen to!
