Sometimes when heavy rain or lightning occur, the car alarm might goes off and surprise you. I was told by someone that if I can tilt the car up to 30 degrees, the alarm will stop (similar to what happen when you car is on tow). Has anyone ever do this?

I feel that is how car thief use to prevent car alarm to function and they can safely tow away your car.

I think that is true for much older cars, 80s maybe. That is when the alarms didn't stop by themselves, after 30 seconds.
