I heard that most remote starters will only get the car going for a few minutes and then stop... my MIL has bad arthritis and has trouble turning the car key at times and she'd love to get a remote starter - but not if the car's going to die on her a few minutes later!
anyone know if you can make it a more pernament thing? |

| Some of the older models have a timer that requires you to insert the key to keep the vehicle running. There are now products that have no time limit in order to make sure that your car has time to warm up. |

| that's great - do you have any suggestion on models or names to look for? It'd be great if she could somehow bypass the actual action of turning the car key and just push a button to start her car... |

| I used to have one. Most modern starters have options, for how long to keep the car on. You can choose to keep it on indefinitely. Still, you cannot get out of park until you put the key in and turn it anything appropriate position. |
